The event rental site we built, and why it isn't rented

We built C2J Event Rentals a site with a custom quote calculator at the center of it. A customer picks their items, tables, chairs, tents, canopies, linens, or a full package, enters the event details, and gets an instant estimate emailed back with a line-item breakdown. No phone tag. The quote conversation that used to eat a call now happens on the page. Behind it, the owner manages pricing, listings, and every incoming quote from a backend, no code and no per-booking fee to a software company. Here is why that matters. Search “event rental website” and the first page is rental software companies renting you a templated site wired to their booking system, plus a few niche shops bolting a third-party quote widget onto Squarespace. The catch is the same in both: leave the platform and you lose the site and the bookings with it. The monthly fee never ends, and you never own the thing it keeps paying for.

We build it the other way. The site is yours outright, the quote flow isn't rented from anyone, and there's no platform tax to keep it online. Scope and a flat fee are agreed in writing before work starts, and when it launches, it's yours to keep and host where you want.
